Is there a way to offer previous customers a discount on new versions of avatars?

Hi there!

I am wondering if there is a way that I could give customers a discount on specific products if they bought an older version of the product in the past?

In the past I created a 3D model and since then I have created a new version of the model as a new product and would like to offer people a discount if they bought the original – is there a way to make this possible besides a discount code?
