Portrait-shaped videos get cropped to landscape-shape

Like the title says, when I tried to upload Portrait style video, the video itself gets cropped on page to landscape orientation, loosing alot of the content in process.

    Videos get cropped to 16:9

Posting a banner video forces it to be cropped to 16:9 (and to the monitor's aspect ratio when fullscreened). This means that posting 4:3 videos, portrait videos, or anything in between gets cropped.

This isn't the same behavior for images, as they get fully shown even if they're not 16:9.

What is a banner video? Please provide screenshots if you can.

LynxJinx my bad, didn't specify. I'm referring to the product previews, where images, videos and gifs can be posted to showcase the product. In the first screenshot the video is formatted as 16:9, even though it is originally 4:3. In the second screenshot you can see one of the images being correctly displayed. Both screenshots show the mobile version of the website, but this problem still occurs on desktop.
